A PERFORMANCE NATURAL FIBRE

HILADOS EGARFIL WORKS PREDOMINANTLY WITH WOOL

Wool offers a great variety of inherent natural properties that cannot be found in other fibres. Wool is a technical fibre itself and its complex structure gives it a great number of unique properties.

Wool, arguably the oldest known animal fibre, has been used by civilisations and it continues to provide fabrics for clothing and to insulate and decorate our living spaces.

Wool uses significantly less energy during its production than manufacturing man-made fibres. Wool production produces lower carbon dioxide emissions and hence has a low carbon impact on the earth.

Wool is a renewable fibre and it supports the concept of sustainability meaning that it is able to regrow itself, following a natural process using a simple blend of natural ingredients: water, air, sun and grass. In contrast, synthetic fibres are industrially produced from non-renewable fossil energy.
